Spreadsheet data
When you upload .xlsx, .xls, or .csv files, we process the contents of your workbooks solely to provide the service you request — formula execution, chart creation, data cleaning, and related operations.
Account information
If you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials. Pro and Enterprise users may optionally enable cloud save, which stores workbooks according to their chosen retention settings.
Usage data
We collect minimal technical data necessary to operate the service: session identifiers, browser type, IP address (for security and rate limiting), and anonymized usage metrics. We do not sell your personal information.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your information only to:
- Process your spreadsheets and execute AI agent operations you request
- Authenticate your account and manage subscriptions
- Maintain service security, prevent abuse, and debug issues
- Send essential service communications (e.g., security alerts)
- Improve product performance using aggregated, anonymized analytics
3. No Model Training
Your spreadsheets are never used to train AI models — period. Session data is processed ephemerally for your request and is not retained for model improvement. We contractually prohibit our AI infrastructure providers from using your data for training purposes.
4. Data Retention & Deletion
- Anonymous sessions: Uploaded files and session data are automatically deleted after 24 hours.
- Pro users: Cloud-saved workbooks are retained until you delete them or close your account.
- Enterprise: Custom retention policies and zero-retention options are available.
You may request immediate deletion of your data at any time by contacting privacy@ai2excel.com.
5. Encryption & Security
All data is protected with industry-standard encryption:
- In transit: TLS 1.3 for all uploads and API traffic
- At rest: AES-256 encryption for stored workbooks; encryption keys are rotated automatically and stored separately from data
- Processing: Each user session runs in an isolated context with sandboxed file parsing
6. Cookies & Local Storage
We use essential cookies and local storage for authentication, session management, and remembering your cookie consent preference. Optional analytics cookies are only set if you accept them via our cookie banner. See our cookie banner for details on managing preferences.
7. Third-Party Services
We use trusted infrastructure providers for hosting, AI inference, and payment processing. These providers process data only on our instructions and under data processing agreements that meet GDPR requirements.
8. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data; object to or restrict processing; and withdraw consent. EU residents may lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.
